Session Filter (Kill Zones)

The Session Filter (also known as "Kill Zones") is a time-based safety feature. It identifies specific trading sessions or time windows where you want to avoid trading (Kill Zones) versus times that are safe.

How it Works in Safety Score

The EA tracks the current market time relative to your defined sessions (London, New York, Asian).

• In Kill Zone: You are in a restricted time window. Danger (-2 Score).
• Outside Kill Zone: You are in a safe trading window. Safe (+2 Score).

Presets

The system includes built-in presets to easily target specific sessions:

• London Focus: Avoids trading before/after London/US overlap.
• New York Focus: Targets US session volatility.
• Asian Focus: Targets or avoids Asian session ranges.
• Full Coverage: A specialized mode that manages all three major sessions.

Formula

Score Logic:
Inside Kill Zone  →  -2 Score (Danger)
Outside Kill Zone →  +2 Score (Safe)

Q&A

Q: Why would I want to stop trading during a specific session?
A: Different logic works in different sessions. A "Breakout" strategy might fail in the Asian session (which ranges), while a "Scalper" might fail in the NY session (too much volatility).
